WOW! It’s a good time to be in the self storage industry. The market is hot, hot, hot and there seem to be plentiful opportunities for smart entrepreneurs and business-folks to successfully enter the space. It’s been a fascinating few days talking to dozens of owners and operators, as well as those in finance, construction, insurance, legal and all the affiliated services. Hot topics include financing, technology, consolidation, 3rd party management — and that’s just on day one! We’ve met people who own one location and people who own hundreds of locations. From Manhattan to Maine. And they’re all converging here at the SSA Fall Conference for networking, education, and of course to build relationships with the vendors inside the exhibit hall.
Just like many other industries we work with, they’re just looking for that “one big (or small) idea” that will either make them money or save them money. And they all appreciate the unique business opportunity that comes from participating in a face-to-face event. We appreciate the warm welcome from the SSA and their members, attendees and exhibitors, and look forward to working with them.
