As a creative group of people, we enjoy many genres of art. Our new artist friends at the Art Enables studio focus on “Outsider Art” or what is also known as self-taught art.
The artists at Art Enables work in a studio in Washington, DC and often have events that bring in the public to view, purchase and explore the studio in addition to their basement gallery—Off Rhode—where guest artists display their work.
This past weekend, I was thrilled to work with the Art Enables staff at the Artists Off-Rhode opening reception and Second Saturday arts workshop event—it was a huge success! They hosted more than 140 visitors, including Council member David Gross, who not only enjoyed the artwork but also the amazing pizza from &Pizza!
