The other month I took one of those DNA tests to see where your ancestors most likely came from in the world. I was pretty much a hard core Celt. The Celtic people come from Ireland (and surrounding lands).
A smidgen of a few other cultures can be found coursing through my veins but those Irish roots are strong in my family. So on this feast day of St. Patrick where the Irish shake their heads at their American friends who celebrate their holy day in typical American fashion — with food and drink and everything not associated with the actual meaning of the holiday–I salute all who desire to be part of the Irish clan.
