Situation
The MedTech Conference aimed to increase attendance in 2019 and strengthen its position as a leading event in the medical device industry. A major barrier was the outdated website, which lacked the modern design, functionality, and user experience needed to attract new audiences.
Solution
CSG redesigned the conference website to deliver a modern, mobile-friendly experience tailored to a new generation of attendees. By moving the site to WordPress, CSG created a flexible platform that improved navigation, streamlined content, and allowed customized messaging for different attendee groups. The site launched in February 2019 with a new visual brand and an animated homepage slider designed by CSG.
CSG also developed and executed a strategic digital marketing plan to support the new site and drive registrations. The 2019 campaign targeted all stages of the marketing funnel—awareness, retargeting, and conversion—using SEM, display, retargeting, geofencing, email, and social tactics. SEO was monitored continuously to maintain first-page visibility, and weekly optimization kept campaign performance strong.
Outcome
Attendance grew by over 10% in 2019, with digital conversions accounting for 30% of total attendance. The campaign generated more than 15 million impressions and 45,000 clicks, with cost per conversion under $4—delivering a strong ROI for the conference.
